Adapters to Convert Gooseneck Hitch for Towing 5th Wheel Trailers
Question:
I have a 2006 mega cab 2500 6ft bed. I was wondering if this hitch would work without removing the draw tite 3ok hide away gooseneck hitch # 9460-48 rail kit # 4448 that I already have installed? Im hot shotting loads with my truck and would like to have both.

If you already have Draw-Tite 30K-rated gooseneck hitch # 9464-35 installed in your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab with 6-foot bed, the best way to add 5th wheel towing capability with good turning clearance for your short bed is to use the Draw-Tite Hi-Rise Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # 9480 which drops right in to the ball hole in your Draw-Tite gooseneck hitch.
You cannot install a standard-base-rail 5th wheel hitch like the Curt Q20 # C16536 in a truck with a gooseneck hitch.
