Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer with a Curt Gooseneck Trailer Hitch in a 2013 GMC Sierra 3500
Question:
Hello, I have a 2013 GMC Denali Dually 3500 with an 8 foot bed. My truck has from the factory a Curt gooseneck that folds down out of the way with chain hooks etc. is there anything else that I would have to purchase to have this Q24 mount in my truck?

Curt Q24 5th wheel trailer hitch # C16545-16025 is designed to fit GM trucks with the OEM 5th wheel prep package which was not available until the 2016 model year. What you have in your 2013 GMC Sierra is just a gooseneck hitch and not the same thing as the factory prep package. This means that hitch # C16545-16025 will not fit.
But not to worry because you can still tow a 5th wheel trailer without having to replace the gooseneck hitch in your truck. Instead you can use that gooseneck hitch with the Andersen Ranch Hitch # AM3100. I have included a link to a video review of this adapter for you.
You can also add a safety chain kit using # AM3109.
