Does 2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD Short Bed Need Slider Hitch When Towing 2017 Montana High Country

Hello, I have a 2016 GMC 2500HD with crew cab and 6.5ft bed. My trailer is a 2017 Montana High Country with the max turn tech front cap. My question is do need to go with a slid style hitch?

If you only ever plan to tow your 2017 Montana High Country with the max turn tech nose then you would not need a slider hitch. A stationary hitch would work well and would be preferred since they are lighter weight and have less moving parts which means less movement.

For a set of fifth wheel rails confirmed to fit your truck you would want the part # C16411-204 which will minimize drilling and install time when compared to a universal kit.

For a hitch the Reese M5 part # RP30928 would be a fantastic option. It has a 20k capacity and has one of the nicest jaw designs on the market which will provide excellent king pin contact.
