Recommended 7-Way RV Plug for 2005 Ford F-250 Truck Bed And 6 Way Plug Availability For Gooseneck

Question:

I have a 2005 Ford F250 4WD, Diesel. I have a goose neck trailer. I want to put the 7way RV trailer plug in the bed. I also have the standard rear trailer plug. Do they make a kit that will just plug in and split the trailer wiring harness so I do not have any splices in the wiring? I want to be able to have both of the plugs working. Do they make one that will also allow me to have a 6 way plug in the bed also? I know the make an adaptor, I would like to have both plug again without splices. Thank You

To put a 7-way connector in the bed of your 2005 Ford F-250, I'd recommend the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long, # C56000. This will allow you to simply connect to your current 7-way plug at the rear of your truck without any splicing and will allow you access to use either connector at all times.

If you want to connect a 7-way and a 6-way round at the bed, I'd recommend the Pollak 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Connector Wiring Harness w/ T-Connector, # PK11932, as well. This can be used with the Pollak 6-Pole, Round Pin, Trailer Wiring Socket - Exposed Terminals w/ Rubber Boot -Vehicle End, # PK11608, you just won't attach the purple back-up light wire in this case so you will want to secure it from any metal contact. I've included a help article to assist with wiring.
