How to test Trailer Wiring to Confirm Function Carried on Each Wire

i need to know the order of the 6 way flat coming off my motorcycle.please and thank you

Flat-plug-style trailer wiring comes in 5-pole and 4-pole versions, such as # W002290 and # A35W42B. Both of these items are wishbone type harnesses that have dual (brown) running light wires to make hookup on both sides of a trailer a little simpler. This means the 5-pole has 6 wires and the 4-pole has 5 wires. Please refer to the linked article for more on wiring.
On a 5-pole flat harness the function assignments are typically as shown on the linked photo. Testing is the best way to confirm what function each wire carries. A circuit tester like # PTW2993 will let you test for the signals on each wire as shown in the linked video.
