5th Wheel Base Rail Adapter for Use with B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch in 2008 Ford F-450
Question:
I have a 2008 Ford F450 with a bandw turnover ball installed. I also have a 5th wheel hitch. What bed rails are compatible with the bandw and 5th wheel hitch.? Hitch is a 16k Reese. Thx.

If you have a B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch/5th wheel install kit # BWGNRK1108-5W in your 2008 Ford F-450 Super Duty you can install an industry-standard 5th wheel hitch like your Reese 16K by adding an adapter. Curt makes their X5 5th Wheel Base Rail Adapter # 16310 for this purpose.
The X5 drops right in to your B&W turnoverball hitch and provides the equivalent of ISRs ( industry-standard rails) that will accept any brand of 5th wheel hitch designed for ISRs. if you need a wiring harness for the truck bed you can use Curt kit # C56000 which is a plug-in install at your bumper.
