Question:
I am going to be buying a open range 3x 427bhs, I own a Ram 3500 mega cab. Do I have to have a sliding hitch?

Since your truck has a 6 foot bed you will need to go with a slider hitch so that you can make tight turns without cab interference. Otherwise you would need to install a Sidewinder pin box on your trailer.
If you go the slider route I have a great option for your 2015 Ram 3500 with the factory rail kit. For that the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550035 is fantastic as it automatically slides as you make tight turns. You would need the rail kit adapter part # DM6099 as well.
You will need to remove the pin box of the trailer and replace it with a Sidewinder pin box. Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.
There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.
Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.
