I have 2001 Chevy express LT 1500 with tow packages has round trailer plug in rear next to hitch I can not find blue wire for the electric breaks any insight would be helpful thxs

The brake controller wire on your 2001 Chevrolet Express Van is one of 4 wires taped together under the van's dash near the emergency brake pedal. It's usually blue but it doesn't have to be since vehicle manufacturers do not have a standard that they have to follow for wire coloring.
The wire will run back to the round 7-way trailer connector and plug into the backside of it in the 7 O'clock position.
