Will Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier fit on a 2014 Kia Soul to carry 2 Kayaks
Question:
I have a 2014 Kia Soul that has the oem cross bars on it and I was wondering if your Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style - Folding - Side Loading Code: Y04073 would fit my car? I was also planning on carrying two kayaks, would that work as well? Thanks for your help.

According to the manufacturer, the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier # Y04073 will fit your 2014 Kia Soul with factory roof rack. I recommend getting a second set of Yakima Cinch Straps # Y05006 since the Yakima Carrier only comes with one set. This will enable you to secure a second kayak to the roof of your Kia. Something else that would help protect your Kia and make securing the kayaks easier would be the the etrailer Kayak Tie-Down kit # e36ZR. These come with 2 Foam anchors fit under hood and hatch to help you secure gear to your vehicle and provide an easy way to hook your tie downs to the hood and hatch of your vehicle.
Some things you will want to keep in mind before you install the JayLow Cradles is that the minimum crossbar spread needs to be 24 inches and the weight capacity varies depending on how many kayaks you will be hauling. When carrying 2 kayaks, the JayLow's capacity is 110 pounds.
You may also want to make sure to help secure your Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier from theft by purchasing the Yakima Same Key System Lock Cores # Y07202.
I will provide some links to demonstration videos for you.
