Trailer Hitch and Towing Accessory Recommendations for a 2009 Jeep Patriot

Will I need to buy anything else to make my new class II hidden hitch for my 2009 jeep patriot fully operational? Ive already purchased the 2 ball but its a gift so I want to make sure I have everything I need.

In addition to he Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75712 for your 2009 Jeep Patriot, you'd also need the ball mount, # 2923.You already have a 2 inch ball, so there is not much more you will need. You could also get a 1-7/8 diameter ball, # 19256, in case you tow something with a smaller coupler. You might also be interested in Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, # e98879 to secure your accessories to the trailer hitch and deter theft.

I also recommend trailer wiring. For your 2009 Patriot, you would need T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, # 118552. I have included a link to the installation details and a video showing installation on a 2010 Patriot. With these items, your towing package would be complete.
