For a short bed truck like your 2017 Ram 3500 with the factory rail kit the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550035 with a 21k capacity would be a great option as it will slide automatically as you make tight turns. Then for a rail kit adapter you would need the part # DM6099 which will fit the truck bed and then allow the hitch to fit.
