Replace a 4 way flat wiring. My colors are white black yellow and red. Unable to make proper connection.

Since your trailer wiring uses non-standard colors you would have to wire in the new 4-way by function and not color. You would need to first determine the functions of the wire colors. If it's a trailer you would need to either run a jumper wire to each of the circuit to see what lights come on or trace the wiring.
If on a vehicle you would need to test each of the wires for voltage with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993.
