Do the Axle-Less Suspension System Arms Need to be Installed on Specific Sides

Can the axle-less trailer suspension system be installed with the torsion arm either facing forward or back on the trailer frame?

The instructions for the installation of the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System show that the end of the torsion arm with the spindle needs to be facing rearward.
