Is Loc-Tite Required for Installing Curt Trailer Hitch 13555
Question:
Looking at Curt #13555 for our 2010 Honda CR-V. Does the kit come with Loc-Tite or similar? Should I use Loc-Tite - when torqued correctly? I have a fear of screws coming loose! -

Expert Reply:
If you torque the install hardware of the Curt hitch part # 13555 properly you would not need any Loc-Tite. The install hardware is torque-to-yield which means that the bolts act as their own thread lock as they stretch to keep themselves from backing out.
