Availability of Tire Snow Cables to fit 33x12R18 Tire and Wheel

Question:

I have a skid steer that I would like to put some tire snow cables on. The tires on it are 33x12R18. What size or pair of cables would be the best fit for this tire? I do understand that these tire cables are not designed for the abuse of skid steers, but I am still looking to get a set to try.

The Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, # PW3029C, that you referenced are a ladder style cable that uses hardened steel rollers to provide traction on snow and ice. Unfortunately, the Glacier Cable Snow Chains are not available in the size tire that you referenced.

Tire chains and cables are fit by the size of the tire. According to my fit guide we have tire chains that will fit a tire size of 33x12.5-18. You may want to double check the size of your tire to make sure it is 12 inches wide or if it is 12-1/2 inches wide.

If your tires are 12-1/2 inches wide, we have a limited inventory of snow tire chains that will fit this size tire. The closest chain that resembles the Glacier Cable chains would be the Glacier Twist-Link Snow Tire Chain, # PWE3231SC. This chain set is a confirmed fit for 33x12.5-18 tire, but this chain is a "true" snow chain in the traditional sense and not a cable. This Glacier chain is designed for heavy-duty use and may be too much of a chain for your application.
