Trailer Hub for Old Boat Trailer with 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern and a 1 Inch Straight Spindle

Question:

I was given an old rusted boat trailer for an aluminum fishing boat. I dont know the axle brand/type/etc., but do know that I need new hubs for it. The spindle they slide over measures 1inch with my caliper, but I dont know which of these two hubs to get? AKIHUB-545-2-1K AKIHUB-545-2-2K Any suggestions or guidance for me?

The 2 hubs in question use different bearings and seals. If the spindle is exactly 1 inch in diameter and the diameter where the seal rides is 1.249 inches then use # AKIHUB-545-2-1K.

If the spindle diameter is slightly over 1 inch and the diameter where the seal rides is 1.5 inches then use # AKIHUB-545-2-2K.

If you still have the old bearings you can check for any numbers stamped into the sides of them and that will determine which hub fits.
