Comparing Thule T2 PRO XTR And Kuat Transfer Bike Carriers

Question:

First I love your website. I interested in 2 products I like on your page. Thule2 pro: The knob on the bottom that makes the rack snug in the hitch, when tightened is it enough to prevent big rack theft? Im also looking at the kuat transfer. I didnt see any bike theft deterrent cables. How can I attach a cable to all the bikes to the bike rack? I want to leave the racks on my SUV and not have to worry about a rack theft too. Thanks

Both of the bike racks, the Thule T2 Pro, part # TH69TX and Kuat Transfer, part # KU74FR are nice bike racks, but I think the T2 is the better of the two.

The T2 is a more heavy-duty bike carrier and has great features like the locking hand knob and the cable locks so the bikes and carrier are secure. That locking knob is great for deterring carrier theft. The weight capacity per bike is 60-lbs while the Kuat Transfer is limited to 40-lbs per bike. Additionally, theT2 can be set up to hold 2 or 4 bikes at 60 lbs each. Additionally, the T2 has a built in cable lock that locks the bikes to the carrier.
