Hi, I am looking for a roof top basket for a 2017 Toyota Highlander. Can you please recommend a basket/system. Ill be looking to carry luggage or other such items during family trips. Would also like a recommendation for a tie down system or net for the basket. Naturally gravitate towards Thule or Yakima, but willing to consider other options if better value or system. Thanks for your help.

To start off you'll need a good roof rack. For your 2017 Toyota Highlander I suggest the Inno square bar roof rack that consists of:
54 inch square crossbars # INB137
Inno Feet # INSUT
Fit Kit # INTR153
I like the Inno because it's a good quality rack that isn't as expensive as some others. It also includes locks to secure the rack to your roof.
Then for a basket I recommend the Yakima LoadWarrior # Y07070. The LoadWarrior gives you options if you want to add other Yakima accessories later like a bike rack or spare tire carrier. It also has the option of adding locks with the mounting brackets # Y07064. Finally,, there is also a cargo net designed to fit the LoadWarrior # Y07072.
