Question:
Besides removing fuses 8, 22 and 24, do you have to run the engine every time you stop the RV or at less every 4 hours. Also, what position is the key left in to dingy tow?

I took a look at the Recreational Towing section of your 2014 Chevrolet Malibu owner's manual. As you mentioned, you will remove fuse 8, 22 and 24 from the instrument panel fuse block. This is done to prevent the battery from draining while the vehicle is being towed. The manual does not state that it is required to run the vehicle's engine at any particular interval during trips, however if you are concerned about the battery draining, you can do this to occasionally provide it some charge.
I also recommend the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypasses # RM76511 and # RM76512 fo your Malibu. Once installed, this will allow you to disconnect the vehicle's mini-fuses so you do not need to remove fuses manually every time you tow.
The ignition on your vehicle should be placed in the ACC/Accessory position.
Lastly, if you can tell me your engine size, I would be happy to provide you with a list of required parts to flat tow your Malibu.
