Curt Trailer Hitches for a 2004 Mazda 6

On a 2004 Mazda 6 wagon would you recommend this Curtis brand hitch. I will be using this for a Thule bike rack. Thanks.

The Curt hitch # C11308 is a good choice for you and is made in the USA. It has a reliable and a 200 pounds tongue weight along with a 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight. It has a bolt-on installation with no welding required. It comes with a complete hardware kit and installation instructions.

Since you want to use the hitch for a bike rack then you have to make sure the rack is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.

Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks if your Thule rack is not compatible.
