Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-350 Short Bed with Factory Rail Kit
Question:
I have a 2017 f350 short bed 6 3/4 with the factory installed hitch prep package. Im going to pull a 3811 Montana with mor/ryde pin box. I have been told reese hitch is the only one that fits the ford prep package. Is there others? I keep hearing different storys on if I should get a slider or not. What do you recommend on hitch and slider or no slider?

We have a few options for hitches that fit the factory rail kit of your 2017 Ford F-350 short bed with the factory rail kit. Since you have a short bed truck you will have to go with a slider hitch so that you have turning clearance between the trailer and the cab of your truck.
My favorite hitch to recommend is the Demco Hijacker AutoSlide part # DM8550038 which automatically slides as you go around corners instead of requiring you to get out and manually operate the slider. This fits your factory rail kit directly.
