Compatibility of Sidewinder Pin Box & Curt A16 Fixed 5th Wheel Hitch

I have a 2016 2500 ram with factory rails and 6ft 4inch bed. buying a 2017 arctic fox fifthwheel. looking into a sidewinder RP61412 .the arctic fox has a RPB72 1716 pin. and a curt C16520-16021 hitch. whats your take on this

The Curt A16 5th wheel fixed hitch and install kit for the Ram trucks with factory prep, part # C16520-16021, is a good hitch for your Ram 2600, but it won't work for your application since you intend to use a Sidewinder replacement pin box on your Arctic Fox 5th wheel.

You'll need a hitch that is compatible with Sidewinders (the Curt A-series are not). I recommend the Reese M5, part # RP30918.

The combination of a fixed hitch with Sidewinder # RP61412 will give you 22-inches of additional turning clearance, as compared to the clearance provided from most sliders, which is about half that amount. This Sidewinder pin box will bolt up right in place of your Lippert 1716 pin box.
