Question:
I have a husky round bar system 800-1200 lb. The holes in the bottom of the head have oblonged allowing the bars to drop out on sharp turns. I found a replacement head identical to the one I have for less than $100. My question is, would it be ok to get the replacement head and use the bars I have which do have some wear where they insert into the head or should I look at getting a new hitch all together? Ive been looking at the husky 32218 trunnion hitch. Any help would be much appreciated.

Getting a new weight distribution system, like the Husky # HT32218 you mentioned, is obviously the safer option. The replacement head might be a Band-Aid solution but since the bars are already wearing you'll likely be buying more replacement parts fairly soon.
You may also consider replacing the bars. Use # HT32329 for the round bars of the Husky Center Line or # HT31521 for other round bar systems.
