Question:
I have a Thule bike rack. The pin that secures the the to the hitch is threaded. Is the hitch have a threaded hole? Or does it not matter? It seems as though it would rock back and forth if not?

Trailer hitches do not have threaded hitch pin holes. The threaded bolt for your Thule bike rack will thread into a weld nut (or other retention device) that is in the bike rack's shank and pull it tight to the side of the hitch receiver. This is good because it means that the bike rack with have anti-rattle abilities no matter what hitch it is in.
