5th Wheel Installation Kit for 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Double Cab Long Bed

Question:

My current fifth wheel hitch is a Reese classic 15K model # 30032. Will this work with a 2017 chevy 2500 HD double cab long bed pickup? I would appreciate a speedy answer as the new truck will be delivered in a couple of weeks. Thanks so much!

You can mount your existing industry-standard Reese 5th wheel hitch in your new 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Double Cab Long Bed pickup by putting an installation kit in the truck. If the truck does not have the factory 5th wheel rail kit you can use a standard above-bed base rail kit like # C16411-204 from Curt or # RP56001-53 from Pro Series. These are custom-fit kits that will reduce the amount of drilling and time required for installation. For an in-bed wiring harness you can use part # 50-97-410 from Bargman which plugs right in at your bumper-mounted 7-way.
