Does Curt X5 5th-Wheel Base Rail Adapter C16220 Fit Curt Gooseneck and How Does it Prevent Twisting
Question:
I would like to use this with a truck I just purchased so I can haul my fifth wheel toy hauler. The truck has a Curt goose neck hitch with a round shank. Since this adapter will engage with a round shank what keeps the rails from pivoting when hauling the fifth wheel trailer? Some roads are awfully bumpy its hard to believe some positive anti-rotation wouldnt be required for this adapter.

The Curt X5 5th-Wheel Base Rail Adapter Plate # C16220 will fit your truck bed that has a Curt gooseneck hitch. What keeps the shank from twisting in the ball opening is the pin that inserts through the adapter. It's the same pin that holds the gooseneck ball in the hitch.
