Question:
Hi, I am looking at this hitch RV-Hitch/Curt/13703 to put onto my RV. I have an I beam hitch but the top and bottom flange are not really wide, maybe about 1 inch. Also, the inside of my I beam I can not use because my bumper is welded there. Could I use this hitch but reverse the side brakets to install them on the outside of my I beams? thanks

It is not recommended to reverse the brackets on the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703 because the inside of the bracket has a necessary support tube. If you look at the attached installation details you will see this hitch is designed for use with the I-beam that your RV has. There is no need to connect it in any other way than on the inside of your I-beam frame.
