Solution for Activating 5th Reverse Light Circuit on Trailer's Wiring

Hi, Ive a 2016 boat and trailer. The trailer came with reverse lights that I now realized Id really like to work. The trailer has a flat 5 pin connector 4 male 1 female. Both of my Jeeps have the round connectors that I believe are 7pin. 6 tabs 1 middle pin. The middle pin is the reverse 12volt feed as I understand. But in the past year Ive been using a 7pin round to 4 pin flat female connection like the one item im posting about but only having 4 pins And then connecting the flat male 5pin trailer side to the flat 4pin to 7pin jeep side. And then 1 pin just over hung from the 5pin trailer side If youre following me yet... If I buy this, which will then connect to all 5 pins of the trailer connection. Will it bring my trailer reverse lights on? In reverse of course... I do NOT have any trailer brakes. I know the reverse pin is largely used for trailer brake solenoid disengagement. But Im assuming that it ties into the reverse lights of those as well. Im very experienced/versed in electrical. And have wired many waterproofed 12v DC and high voltage AC line voltage leads before. My other idea is.... Im sure itd look cleaner as well but if you guys offer it. Id like to cut off the trailers male flat 5 pin and just wire in a Full 7 pin female round connection so that can just plug straight into my jeeps male 7pin. Because the 7 pin round connections are much more protected and cleaner looking in comparison to the countless flat 4-5 pin connections Ive had that lose their connection continuity with little use due to the easily corroding small round pins. Sorry for the long questions. But I have two as you can see above. Thank you.

The fifth circuit that the Adapter 7 pole to 5 pole part # A75TB carries is the reverse light circuit. So as long as the 7-way on your tow vehicle has this circuit activated the reverse light circuit would then carry over to the trailer's wiring.

Replacing the 5-way on your trailer with a 7-way like the part # H20036 would also be an option worth considering. I don't like to recommend adapters for long term use as it's basically just another wiring connection which is where most wiring problems occur.
