Will this set up work on a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 with overload springs. And is there a kit I can purchase without the rails. Thanks

According to Reese the rail kit part # RP50140-58 is a fit for your 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 short bed with overload springs as long as it is a diesel model. If it is a gas engine AND overload springs it's not a fit.
For just a bracket kit without the rails you would need the part # RP50140.
