Benefits of Upgrading to Higher Load Range Tires on Trailer

I am thinking about replacing a 5.7-8 B rated tire with C or B rated tire. I know it will not change the trailer load rating, just thought that it would give me a beefier tire. Your thoughts please.

As you mentioned in your question, upgrading to higher load range tires on your trailer is not going to increase the weight capacity of the trailer itself. However, a higher-rated tire will have the benefit of running a bit cooler when compared to what you currently have mounted.

Trailer tire failure is usually caused by excessive heat and the best way to prevent this is by observing the tires' rated weight capacity, speed rating and psi pressure. Using a tire that can handle more weight than what you will actually be putting on it simply means that it will tend to run cooler, and a cooler tire will last longer.

I recommend looking at the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire # AM10013. This is a great 5.70-8 sized tire with a load range D that has a maximum load of 1,075 pounds at 100 psi. I have also attached a link that will take you to our available 5.70-8 tires for you to look through.
