Are the mounting holes for the CT-3001-Z the same as the CT-2001-Z? Thanks

No, the hole spacing on coupler # CT-3001-Z is actually 3-1/16 inches as measured by our video demonstrator in the video I have linked. The holes for coupler # CT-2001-Z are spaced 2-1/4 inches apart on center.
