Does Battery of 2015 Chevy Silverado Need to be Disconnected to Flat Tow It
Question:
The 2015 Chevrolet 1500 4 wheel drive is placed in park when flat Towing. If the battery is disconnected the breakaway system will not work. If the ignition is off there is no power being drained on the battery. What would be damaged in the vehicle if Towing with the battery still on?

I checked with Roadmaster and they have determined that when flat towing your 2015 Chevy Silverado the battery must be disconnected otherwise the battery will drain from accessories being activated. What you will need to power the supplemental braking system is the outlet kit part # RM-9332 which attaches directly to the battery and leaves the truck totally disconnected.
