Can the Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier be Used on a Standard Cab 1999 Ford F-150 Truck
Question:
Will the front cab carrier bar fit atop a regular cab 2door truck ? If the strap passes through the cab does it interfere with the driver? Does it fit between the door and jamb frame and use the door as torque to snug the slack up?

Yes, the Darby Extend-A-Rack Truck Kayak Carrier, # DTA944-968-924, can be used on a standard 2 door cab 1999 Ford F-150 as long as the cargo that you will be carrying does not exceed the weight limit of your trucks roof. Checking the owner's manual or contacting a Ford dealer will allow you to find your truck's roof weight capacity.
The crossbar is secured using the included strap. The strap is feed through the cab and pulled tight using a metal buckle. The strap will sit as close to the truck ceiling of the cab so not to interfere with the cab passengers.
The attached review video of the Darby Extend-A-Rack shows the many different application that this rack can be used for on your truck.
