Question:
I own a 2006 chevy 2500. I need to transport 3 to 4 bikes. What would be the best system for me. I will be pulling a fifth wheel as well.

You could probably get 3 bikes on the roof of your 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 but a 4th will likely not fit due to limited roof rack space. There is another possibility and that is to install a front mount hitch receiver, # 65028, and carry the bikes in the front mount hitch with a hitch mount bike rack such as # TH934XTR. But there are some things to consider with this as well: reduced driver visibility, the vehicle lights could be blocked, and air flow to the motor could be restricted.
If you would rather go with a roof rack and your truck is either a crew cab or extended cab I recommend the Rhino-Rack square bar roof rack using the following parts:
Aero bars # RRVA137B-2
Feet # RRRLKVA
Fit kit # DK227
You could then use 3 of the HighRoad bike racks # Y02114 with the 2 outside racks facing forward and the middle one facing rearward but it will be a tight fit.
If the truck has a regular cab I do not recommend using a roof rack because the space from one bar to the other would be very short and most all bike racks would not fit.
And a third option is to carry the bikes on the back of the 5th wheel trailer. If your trailer has a 4 to 4-1/2 inch square, steel bumper that is welded its entire length you can use Swagman rack # S80600. It isn't much to look at but it gets the job done!
