5th Wheel Hitch Options for a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali

Question:

Im looking for a 5th wheel to pull a 17,500 lbs 37foot RV. I have a 2015 GMC Denali 6.6L Turbo Diesel with Allison Transmition. The bed is 6.5foot long. Which ones will be my options? Thanks

Since your 2015 GMC 2500 has the 6-1/2 foot bed you will want to go with a sliding 5th wheel hitch.

There are a couple of different options that you can go with here. If you are wanting to go with a 5th wheel hitch that uses the standard base rails then I recommend going with the Curt Q20 # C16536 along with Base Rails Kit # RP50066-58. This 5th wheel hitch is one of the best hitches that we currently carry due to the dual-jaw system and the pivoting head to help secure the king pin and minimize jarring and chucking.

If you wanted to be able to remove your 5th wheel hitch and have a clear bed then I highly recommend going with the B&W Companion 20K # BWRVK3400-5W. This hitch will install in the underbed gooseneck hitch # BWGNRK1012-5W and the head can be removed to make it easier for taking it in and out of the bed of your GMC. B&W is known for making more heavy-duty type of equipment.

We also have an autosliding 5th wheel option for you. The Demco Highjacker can be used with standard base rails like # DM8552011-71 if you go with part # DM8550035.

When it comes down to it my favorite is the autosliding 5th wheel options that Demco provides just because of the high quality head that comes with the hitch and the autosliding feature which means you will not have to keep getting in and out of your truck just to make turns.

I have attached review videos of each of these hitches for you to check out and to help you decide further which one best suits your needs.
