Troubleshooting a Possible Faulty Vehicle Wiring Harness for a 2008 Kia Sedona

I purchased a wiring harness #118410 about five years ago for our 2008 Kia Sedona, which has worked perfectly until just now. I could not get the wiring harness to work, and noticed the fuse had blown. After replacing the fuse, and hooking up our tester to the 4-pin connector, left turn LT is always on, even when the key is not in the ignition. Tail doesnt come on at all. Right Turninch RT works perfectly. Ive checked ground and all wiring looks intact. Again... TAIL never comes on LT is always on RT works normally Is there a chance the module has gone bad on the unit? Thank you for your time.

Sounds like the power converter on your T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118410, has shorted out and will need to be replaced.

The converter is designed to divert the lighting signal when you turn on your lights or use the brakes or the turn signals on your Sedona. If these functions are not working properly, then the issue is in the converter box.

Before you replace it you will want to inspect the wiring of your trailer to see if you can find anything that would cause the box to short out like corrosion or cut/exposed wiring. These boxes don't usually go out unless there is a short on the trailer that takes it out.

Once you are ready to install a new harness, I recommend using dielectric grease, # LT37534, on the plug connections between the harness and your Sedona's wiring. Using dielectric grease will protect these connections from dirt and water contamination.
