What Do I Need to Install a Tekonsha P2 # 90885 Brake Controller w/ Wiring for 2011 Toyota Sienna

Question:

Hi, I have a 2011 Toyota Sienna with tow package. I want to add trailer lights, charge line and brake controller. The tow package doesnt include wiring for lights so Ive ordered part # 118498 to wire in a 4 pole wire. What else would I need to install a brake controller, charge line and convert the 4 pole to a 7 pole. I see there is part # 30717 and/or Item ETBC7, but which one to use? Thanks in advance for any help, Take care,

In order to have a fully functional 7-way connector at the rear of your 2011 Toyota Sienna you would want to first install the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118498. I attached installation instructions for this product below for you to check out.

Next, you will want to install the Brake Controller 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit, part # ETBC7, and then you will be ready to wire up a brake controller and have it be fully functional. This kit has everything you need to turn your 4-way into a functional 7-way. Whereas, the # 30717 would need a few other parts to be functional. I attached installation instructions and an installation video for this product below for you to check out also.

The post that is in the 2 o-clock position will be an auxiliary 12 volt power source that you could use as a charge line. I attached a link to a trailer wiring FAQ page below that you may find informative also.

For a brake controller I would recommend that you get a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part # 90885, this is one of our best selling brake controllers because it is easy to use and easy to set up. I attached installation instructions below for you to check out as well as a video of a # 90885 being installed onto a vehicle for you to check out.
