Trailer Hitch to Fit 2010 Mercedes C-Class For Cargo Carrier
Question:
I have a 2004 Mercedes C230 and a 2010 Mercedes C300. Can you recommend a single hitch model that might be able to be installed on either car and also would be used with your cargo carrier. We plan to carry less than 200 lbs.

There are trailer hitch receivers that will fit each of your Mercedes, though there is not one that can fit either/or or is in any way transferable. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C11030, is a confirmed fit for the 2010 Mercedes C-Class.
This hitch has a 1-1/4-inch receiver opening and has a Class I rating, which means the hitch's maximum tongue weight is 200 lbs and max gross trailer weight is 2,500 lbs.
For a cargo carrier, the 20x48 Curt Cargo Carrier, # C18110, will fit 1-1/4-inch Class I hitches, is made of steel and has a weight capacity of 300 lbs. In order to maintain the warranty on your Curt hitch, you will need support straps such as # 18050.
