The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset - 12" to 16" Tall # CAB-C5GX1216 is a nice adapter that gives you 7-1/2 inches of offset. The adjustable height from 12-16 inches gives you more adjustability than most 5th wheel hitches. It has a towing capacity of 20,000 lbs and the interior polyurethane cushions act as shock absorbers to minimize bounce and vibration to protect both your truck and your trailer. If you don't need the offset, I recommend # CAB-C5G which has the rest of the features and just reduces the clearance.
This adapter has a security feature that I really like with the Positive-Locking feature that makes hookup easy and gives you peace of mind that your trailer is connected correctly. The lock also guards against theft when you use a standard padlock like # 141T.
