Question:
I have a Ford F-150 wth a 6 1/2 foot box and am buying a cougar 246rlswe and am considering a Andersen ultimate fifth wheel hitch. Is this combination acceptable ?

The Andersen Ultimate is a great hitch adapter. It has a decent amount of offset to it at 9 inches so it should work fine on your 2017 Ford F-150 since your truck bed is 6-1/2 feet.
You'd need a rail kit though. The part # RP50087-58 is a confirmed fit for your truck and will work well with the Andersen too.
