Running Lights are Not Working

My running lights arent working. Where are the fuses

Expert Reply:

Without know the year/make/model of your vehicle I won't be able to tell you exactly where the fuse panel is, but generally there is a fuse panel under the hood and then another one on the inside of the vehicle on the driver's side. You should be able to find a list of what fuses are for which functions in your owner's manual (if you don't have a physical copy you should be able to find one online).

You will also want to check the grounds and connectors on your vehicle and trailer to make sure they are clean, secure, and free of debris.

You can also use a Circuit Tester # PTW2979 to test the connector at the rear of your vehicle to make sure that it is getting all of the appropriate signals. You will want to check the lights on your trailer separately as well. You can do this by either hooking it up to another vehicle or testing the functions with a 12V battery.

If the fuses and grounds look good but the functions on your vehicle or trailer are still not working properly then you will want to inspect the wiring on both your vehicle and trailer. You will want to look for any places where the wiring is damaged, bent, corroded, or exposed. You can replace is using 16 Gauge Wire # 16-1-1 and Butt Connectors # DW05744-5.

If your fuses, grounds, and wiring looks good but is still not working then you will want to take your setup to a qualified mechanic who can physically inspect your vehicle and trailer.
