Can you tell me whats entailed in adapting this trailer for yakima bars? Also does this seem like a reasonable trailer to tow behind and 2012 prius? Thanks!

If you are wanting small trailer with Yakima crossbars we have just what you need. The Yakima Rack and Roll trailers like part # Y08106 are setup with Yakima crossbars on them already and would be your ideal solution.
The Malone trailer part # MAL53FR is a great trailer but it's not designed to have Yakima bars installed on it.
If there ever was a trailer designed for a Toyota Prius to tow it these would be them as you really aren't going to find any lighter weight options.
