Folding Trailer Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2011 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I have a 2011 Toyota Rav4 with the spare tire mounted on the rear door. Will this carrier clear the spare tire when folded up?

You will need to measure the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the distance required to clear the spare tire. If that distance is less than 5 inches, then the Curt 20x60 Folding, Aluminum Cargo Carrier, # C18100, will fit when in the folded up position.
The 2 inch trailer hitch mounted carrier with the most clearance when folded up is the Draw-Tite, # 6502. It measures 7-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest edge of the carrier when folded up. I have included a link to the installation details and a video review for reference.
