Roof Rack Recommendation for 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 with Sunroof
Question:
Installing a Yakima track system 54inch on my 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. However the instructions say not to install on a vehicle with a sun roof. Can you explain why. Appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

The roof of a vehicle is part of the overall structure and strength of it. Vehicles with sun roofs have to have the roofs stabilized differently and it's a much more delicate process since a large portion of the roof is missing.
Because of that we don't recommend track style roof racks with sun roof vehicles.
Instead there is the Yakima rack part numbers # Y00409, # Y28TR, # Y03536, and # Y06122 which fits with your sunroof on your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500.
