Recommended Radial Tires To Replace 5.30x12 Tires On 1976 Popup Camper

I have a 1976 popup camper. Its 1 axel and weights about 1500 lbs. We tow it with a Chevy Tahoe or a GMC Sierra 1500. The popup has regular trailer tires in the size 5.30-12. They were made in 2002 so they definitely need replaced. What size radial tire would be appropriate for this camper? I would lIke radials to prevent excessive damage in the case of a blowout.

For the replacement tires on your 1976 popup camper, I recommend the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # AM10140. These will be a slightly wider and shorter than your current tires, but will mount to the same wheels. They have a width of 5.7 inches and overall diameter of 21.3, which isn't a very noticeable difference. These tires have automotive grade tread and are rated for 1520 lbs at 80 psi.
