Question:
I replaced one of the steps with a steel 4 step. It is tricky to open and the lower step is too low to the ground. Better would be the space between the door threshold and ground was evenly divided. It is not clear to me that your 4 step aluminum will do that.

I have a solution for you, though the TorkLift Scissor Steps # TLA7504 will not be able to guarantee an evenly divided space between the threshold and the ground. If your current step is too low to the ground for your liking, and you want a more even divide, I recommend the TorkLift Scissor Steps with Landing Gear # TLA7834.
These are similar to the steps you referenced, being 20 inches wide with a 7-1/2 inch drop/rise and weight capacity of 350 lbs, but the landing gear provides them a unique capability. Each of the legs is height adjustable, allowing you to customize the feel and have stable steps if the ground under them happens to be uneven.
