Trailer Axle With Spring Center To Spring Center Measurement Of 48
Question:
Sorry ... entered wrong email address on prior question. Im wondering if this axle : Item # CE33201GA-HUB will work with my boat trailer. My axle measures 48inch spring center, 57.5inch hub face and 62inch overall. Im concerned with the axle center being too short on this axle. Thanks for your help,

I do have an option that may work for you however, none of our trailer axles have a spring center to spring center measurement of 48" and a hub face to hub face measurement of 57.5". Therefore, no, the CE Smith Trailer Axle w/ Idler Hubs part # CE33201GA-HUB will not work for you as the spring center measurements are too short for your current application.
I do have a trailer axle with spring center to spring center measurement of 48" in the Dexter Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs part # 20545I-ST-60-15, however, the hub face to hub face length is 60" which is 2.5" longer than your current axle. In order to determine if this axle will work for you, you will need to account for an added 1.25" of additional length on each side of the trailer. Therefore, the trailer tires will protrude out 1.25" longer on each side of the trailer. If you have the additional clearance, then this axle will work for you.
I have attached a video review of this axle for you.
