Kayak Carrier for 13.5 Foot Wilderness Kayak and 2016 Honda CR-V
Question:
I have 2 kayaks that I will be transporting. One is 10foot pelican and the other is a 13.5foot wilderness. The larger kayak is proving to be difficult to find j hooks for. It is 32inch wide and weighs 84#. They will be transported on a 2016 Honda CR-V. Will this j hook system work for me?

For your larger Wilderness kayak I actually recommend Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier - Folding - Universal Mount Item # S512. It is also rated for up to 99 pounds. The fact that this one has more adjustability will allow the larger kayak to fit better than the fixed version # S510.
Another useful item to help reach the roof to load/unload the kayaks is step stool # TE97FR which you can conveniently store in your 2016 Honda CR-V so it's their when you need it!
