Weight Capacity Of Curt Pintle Hook When Using 2 Inch Ball
Question:
I see the previous question about replacing the 2-5/16inch ball with a 2inch ball. Can I still tow up to 20,000 pounds with a pintle hitch trailer in that configuration?

The weight capacity of the Curt Pintle Hook with 2-5/16" Ball for 2-1/2" Hitches - 20,000 lbs # C48012 would be decreased when using a 2 inch ball. The Replacement Hitch Ball for B&W Tow & Stow Pintle Hook Combo - 2" # BWTS10051 is the highest rated at 16,000 lbs when used as part of a pintle hook.
