Offset Recommendation for 2017 Ram 2500 Short Bed with Factory Gooseneck Trailer Hitch

Question:

I have a 2017 Ram 2500 crew cab with shortbox and it has the factory drop in gooseneck package installed. I need 4 inch clearance for my gooseneck trailer and am looking for a in ball extension that locks in from the top like the reese 30140. Any suggestions?

We do have a possible solution for you but there isn't a hitch ball like the Reese # RP30140 that offers an offset to the factory gooseneck hitch in your 2017 Ram 2500 short bed.

Instead I recommend using the B&W Extend-A-Goose Coupler # BWTEXA4200 on your gooseneck trailer. It'll give you 10 inches of offset which is way more than you'll get from a hitch ball. It fits on standard 4 inch diameter gooseneck outer tubes.
